Axminster has given a limited quantity of Evolution SK100 chucks a second life in a highly desirable 1-1/4" x 8 TPI thread configuration. This Special Edition Evolution SK100 chuck is designed to maximize work holding options. Axminster has specially reworked a limited quantity of these chucks, fitting them with a custom insert that converts the original 1-1/2" x 6 TPI thread to 1-1/4" x 8 TPI. The 1-1/4" x 8 TPI configuration is one of the most common spindle thread sizes used on woodturning lathes, making this Special Edition an excellent option for turners looking for the renowned Evolution SK100 in this configuration. It is a chuck to enhance your woodturning, making it easier, accurate and more enjoyable. The Evolution SK100 features a super-slim 100mm diameter CNC machined, stainless steel body incorporating the SafetyJaw accessory mounting jaws. The Evolution SK100 is fully compatible with all previous accessory jaws and dovetail jaws. These chucks won’t rust, either from condensation in a cold workshop or the sap from green wood.
