Axminste, Eccentric Spiraling Chuck
Very easy to use and set up , I use a SuperNova2 chuck with the dovetail jaws. Do not be confused by the term C style dovetail -- a normal set of jaws that are tapered down from the top towards the attachment point onto the chuck. Make sure your jaws extend out past 2.5" that is the opening needed to fit the inside of the chuck. This is not mentioned in description. Anything less then 2.5" will not allow operation of this chuck. The written instructions I found were vague, so just watch the video provided on YouTube for this specific chuck. Obviously there will be a learning curve to using this as the more you open up the chuck, the wobbly the piece will look in motion. Make sure you use good gripping screws, such as Grip Rite 2" x 8 GA 5.08 cm. DO NOT use Deckmate screws -- no gripping action -- they just spin. I use a Delta 12" variable speed model 46 - 700 attached to a countertop with no problems. Good luck
